It is very easy for a person to become a baseball coach. If you contact your local Little League and volunteer they will likely give you a team to coach without ever asking what your experience is. The simple fact is that there is a shortage of adults that are willing to volunteer their time to help children learn the game.
Once you've decided to coach baseball, regardless of your reasons for doing so, you should make every attempt you can to become the best baseball coach possible. Gather information, learn drills, talk with other coaches to learn what has helped them in the past, join online forums to bounce ideas off others.
